So while going though my morning read of The Goat, I found what has to be the greatest bike ever. Ya it was just a picture attached to some article about cycling in Portland, but I couldn't read it. The bike was just too AWESOME! I should probably read the article too but hey, most things I read, I dont read for the "Articles".
They are the Freedom Riders…
The Freedom Riders are a group of mountain bikers in the Jackson Hole/ Teton Pass area that started out building illegal trails at night and have now grown to a legit group with a positive relationship with the Forest Service. Here's the trailer to their video documenting the process. It's pretty impressive.

Just recently i ran across this comic. After spending a few hours with my wife reading though the entire thing i have to say that i really enjoy it. I feel that it is a good portrayal of cycling and highly suggest reading though it. If you really like it make sure to support it.

As if Shimano's XTR wasn't already expensive enough, they've now added a line of upgrades called Yumeya. Basically it takes your ugly XTR parts and makes them a combination of white and gold. Sick. Reminds me of the days when everything was anodized purple.
