Some first descents are just not worth repeating. :) Take a look at the line Ager Stefan go to try out. Really glad to hear that he fine, but I have to say I think he owes his buddy a few 6 packs.

Soccerpro.com “No Charge for Awesomeness”

As some of you might already know soccer is a slightly popular sport in our house.  As a dad it has been a blast to watch our older girl (7) play and compete, and is just as exciting to watch our 4 year old get more and more excited to play, but there has been one thing that was missing.  For as long as I have enjoyed watching soccer (both pro and my girls) I have honestly not played that much.  Not to say that I have not wanted to play, I just never took the time to find a team or put one together.  Well it was time to change this, so Kristen and I joined our first indoor rec league.  Doing this put me in a position that I tend to enjoy.  I needed to learn about the different gear and what was worth while.  Where to spend money (shoes) and where to save (shin guards).  Between this and looking for a 2010 US World Cup jersey I came across a promotion on Facebook from SoccerPro.com entitled "Jerseys For Life".  After signing up and reading over the terms of the contest I had a pretty good feeling about the people  at SoccerPro.com.

Probably the best way to explain them is in there own words on there Facebook company overview.

We love soccer. We love talking about soccer, playing soccer, watching soccer, thinking about soccer, playing soccer video games, playing fantasy soccer, playing with soccer puppets, dressing up like soccer stars, and even writing in our soccer diaries about soccer. We want to share this love with you.

Well I have to admit they truely mean what they say.  They have answered questions for me about everything.  From what shoes I should get, to what is a good sock for my girls that stays up and is not huge.  All the employees I have worked with go out of there way to help out.

Another thing to point out is that they are always having some kind of contest or at least some way to get a bit of a deal.  Just last week I won a 2010 Brasil Home World Cup jersey.  I will get a pic of it up as soon as it shows up.  Mostly I just wanted to get up a little note and let everyone know about a great company that has helped me out and I will be supporting.  You will also notice that I have put an ad up for them on this page.  Please note that this is not a paid ad, I just really like these guys and want to help them grow.  Oh and as they state on there site and many other places that they have a strong policy that that there is "No Charge for Awesomeness."  This is found out when I got my Brazil World Cup jersey.  They put candy in with every shipment.  Sorry but there is not much more awesome than that.

Massis K2 skis

Now I am a big fan of the fat ski trend but I think this takes it a bit to far.  At 16 feet tall the glass skies were designed and made by Joel Berman Studios for K2 in celebration of the Olympics.

Found at: K2 Skis Blog

And here is a link to one of most fun pairs of skis I have even been on.  The K2 HellBents.

OK Go – This Too Shall Pass

I figured I would put this up just in case there is actually someone out there that has not seen it yet.  Yet another amazing video from OK Go and an even more impressive rube goldberg device.

My favorite part of the climb….

Actually when doing something like this I am thinking about two things.  First is how I can't wait to get past this section, and second I hope there's another way down.  If there is why didn't I take that way up in the first place?

From what I can find is Eiger final arret.  Correct me if I am wrong.

HOOKUM – Hook and Ring game

I have to admit this looks like a ton of fun.  HOOKUM looks like one of thoose games that is simple to play, hard to master, yet still a ton of fun.  I can't wait to bring this out at one of the Cascade Raft and Kayak guide parties and see what happens.  Check out the video below get get an idea of how it works.  Basically catch the ring on the hook more / faster than everyone else (who then drink?).

Definitely worth taking a look at, and I suggest picking up.

Check it out here.
