Almost anyone who has known me for very long is aware that I'm a big Ron Paul fan.  So I'm very pleased I can find a reason to post something concerning him.  I know hemp has been big outside of the stoner community for some time with lots of clothing makers using hemp particularly in their "Green" lines.

Hemp Bill Supported by Barney Frank, Ron Paul

The Industrial Hemp Farming Act was introduced Friday by Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) and Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas). The bill would make it legal for U.S. farmers to raise "non-psychoactive industrial hemp," a product which is used in soap, rope, clothing and even food.

HR 1866: Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2009

To amend the Controlled Substances Act to exclude industrial hemp from the definition of marijuana, and for other purposes.

We shall see if it makes it out of committee.
